i'm ashton addison from block west capital for investmentpitch media and today on the cryptocoin show we have back with us uh bobby pham cmo of cardiac chain uh cardiac chain's been on the show a few times bobby hasn't been on is the first time uh for him coming on the show and it's been over a year since the last time we spoke with cartier chain i know that there's tons

of updates to cover so welcome to the show bobby and thank you for taking the time i appreciate it ashlan thanks for watching us back and thank you for bringing me on you're very welcome uh for those who haven't seen our first interview um and before we get into all the recent things that your team's been working on let's just uh break it open with you know a high level overview of

what are the main solutions that cardiac chain is focused on and what is the protocol all about yeah yeah sure so i think uh you know as a recap cardiac chain started off as or i guess still is a layer one interoperable blockchain um we were based in south iowa based in vietnam specifically but yeah who based in southeast asia um you know our our mission is simple one three mass

adoption that today we made that today still remains our mission however i think we've evolved a little bit more than just a blockchain it's just an interoperable blockchain right i like to think of us as a blockchain ecosystem with as you mentioned a number of different products and solutions that help accelerate this mission you know some of the products and

solutions we develop ourselves many of which we partner with others to develop on top of cardio chain uh but yes i like to you know i'd like to kind of change uh i think the biggest uh trend the biggest change or the biggest update is um you know a lot of people think of it's just a blockchain but more so a blockchain ecosystem with a number of different products

which i'm sure we'll probably get into over the next couple of questions definitely and thanks for that intro bobby and now yeah being an ecosystem there's so many different subsections to dive into uh you know with the apps and the protocol itself and the kinds of apps and the industry use cases and um so maybe you can just sort of encapsulate that in what makes cardiac chain

different as as a protocol ecosystem you know as and standing out compared to some of these protocols that are you know they're all trying to become layer ones to to host a network of applications on top of yeah so i think what makes us what a different is you know these other protocols are for the most part i think uh they focus on writing themselves as a as a layer one as a

blockchain protocol your salon as your avax is your ears again i like to always think i try to tell everyone hey guys you know we're a blockchain ecosystem right um and so one that's the first thing is you know consider us an ecosystem uh number two is um you know all right we originated in vietnam in vietnam um and in doing so our presence in southeast asia is really

popular so i think this is a region this is a region that we're heavily invested in um if you ask most people most people within southeast there's not too many blockchains in southeast asia i think that has the stronger brand presence is ours with the exception of zilliqa which is pretty strongly based in singapore so in terms of what sets us apart but specifically i'd like to tell people

we are the leading blockchain ecosystem in southeast asia um so this is an area in region that we want to focus on as southeast asia is a growing region for cryptocurrency adoption um some of the major products that we partnered with uh we've partnered with we partnered with to build on our to build on our platform include the uh decks we have decks here we have

our version three launching coming uh coming soon uh we have a super user-friendly wallet i think you people should definitely check out our wallet but anyways it can study a lot to store all the crypto assets uh you know that are traded within our ecosystem uh we have an upcoming metaverse which is going to represent our ecosystem as well as traditional businesses in

southeast asia and another thing that we're pretty proud of here is we're launching a new entity called kaiso which is going to be offering various different web 3 services things like hackathon as a service ama as a service some of these other things that we see our major pain points or issues or our needs within the crypto space and we ourselves have been doing these for

ourselves the projects that need help with this as well um so kind of a long wounded answer but i hope that kind of covers a couple of uh points of what that question was asking definitely bobby thanks for that and um it's great to hear about you know the different services that your team has already built out and specifically talking about southeast

asia you know myself actually did speak at some crypto conferences in southeast asia it's been about four or five years now um but when i was there uh it seemed very developer focused a lot of training i feel like there was even google had like was very heavily uh pres present there as well and it seemed like um really good developers were coming out of

vietnam i'm curious on you know since then what does the landscape look like in the blockchain ecosystem throughout vietnam and and where's it headed oh man you're certainly right on that i think many countries are kind of finally like you know getting like it's kind of been like i guess a little bit of a gym like vietnam having so much uh having uh having vietnam housing a

lot of tech and developer talent here and a lot of companies we see here are certainly outsourcing uh finding blockchain devs from within vietnam um in terms of the landscape in southeast asia i mean yeah it's blowing up man i mean you have more than 600 crypto blockchain companies are headquartered in southeast asia adoption rates are super high i think

i think adoption rates around like what three point three and a half percent in 2021 but or in southeast asia about in southeast asia um but uh vietnam i think ranks third globally in cryptocurrency adoption here um so uh yeah so i think uh um in terms of your answer here yeah i think you know and not only in cryptocurrency adoption

but really in digital and tech adoption as well if like the vietnamese i'm really proud of the vietnamese government they've made huge strides in taking advantage of knowing that they're famous or that they're famous for developer and tech town here and they're investing into they've created a lot of different associations not just the crypto associations but other organizations to

kind of further develop uh further establish vietnam as a tech um i guess as a tech empire or what i'm not sure i'm losing a lot of words for it but yeah man it's blowing up over here in southeast asia it's almost like the wildlife was to be oh it is like the wildlife should i say and you don't hear that as often but it's great that vietnam is making a name

for themselves in that sector and and i'm curious if you know just the tech talent is that that one thing that's driving all of these crypto companies into southeast asia i've also heard you know um like favorable crypto regulations in the area and you did mention the government there um or is it associations or is there something else that i'm missing

from other blockchain companies they wanted to try to create enterprise adoption so they essentially wanted to approach or work with enterprise and major corporations to offer blockchain as a service now a lot of the challenges that were faced was a lot of corporation companies they really they wanted to adopt it but because of the lack of clarity with the

crypto regulation it was something that you know they were a little hesitant about and this is common like everywhere everywhere um so that actually led our co-founders both we and she to work with the government to help lead the development of the vba which stands for the vietnamese blockchain or the vietnam blockchain association right um as you know like lack of crypto

regulation is a huge obstacle that stops governments countries and corporations from working with crypto companies but the development of this association is literally the vietnamese government's like endorsement of saying hey we want to go into this space but let's regulate this spacious creation clear regulation um so um i think um you know i think

i think i might have getting off the point but i think your question was like why companies are what was the main question what was the point what's the question again i'm sorry yeah yeah no that you know i'm like what you mentioned there the association is obviously going to attract more companies and whether it was just the development or or the the regulations on why all these

companies are moving towards southeast asia yeah so i think yeah so yeah yeah so i think first you know the addition the huge talent pool of tech talent inside vietnam and then secondly the support of both vietnam and many other southeast asian countries uh in wanting to support and push crypto or blockchain adoption or rub through adoption i guess let's just use

that word better web3 adoption so yeah okay great and you know building all these uh amazing products as they're in the works is great but i'm curious if there's some end goal in sight or if the government has some end goal in sight for actually bringing the quality of life and you know a better place for vietnam and southeast asia if it's gonna actually help the people

that live there yeah for sure well i mean i think uh first and foremost what's really nice is like uh you know i think the average i think the average vietnamese teenager spends like four hours on their phone a day which is which is crazy here but that shows that this is the generation i mean they're going to be they're going to be completely comfortable using crypto using

using blockchain web 3 technology and other digital they're going to be comfortable in the web 3 space here um so i think that you answer your question uh because you know so many uh so much of the current the vietnamese population our use are already comfortable with these digital or with cryptocurrency we'll say a web three will say um we will see an improvement in you know uh

rules you see improvement in the daily lives of of the population here um you know i think that is what gives southeast asia an edge now that i'm talking about that point is that you know much of southeast asia is still developing they're still considered developing verbal developing countries so a lot of the populations have trouble accessing traditional

traditional financial products like just a simple bank account or debit card you know even my mates this day i've been asking for a year and a half hey you have a bank account just transferring money so i'm having to find cash she's like no no like you know she's kind of like there's almost like you know some some concern about it um so um i think um

that uh contributes to um so to answer your question yeah i think the government sees these digital sees these products helping to helping the daily lives i guess yeah improving the daylights of the population and secondly i think they also see it as an opportunity to kind of make their stamp in the global market here hey this is our this is our time to kind of rise

here let's take advantage of it you know in the west here a lot of people already have like they already have their bank accounts or debit cards they're trying to transition them off of that is challenging here people have refreshed you know you know here people have a profession to open it they're ready for anything and the government i think sees the the many

southeast asian countries see it as an opportunity to kind of you know get ahead in in the global i guess the global landscape the global rankings i'm not sure however you want to describe that but yeah i know it's really interesting to see how uh the the nations that don't have this infrastructure which now people in web 3 consider it as you know old um in the

way and really slow um they're able to sort of bunny hop over that and and you know skip all these years of uh something that seemed good at first but now that this new technology has emerged um it's easier to transition when you don't have to get off of the regulation the regulation of all of the other stuff that was slow before uh throughout the west and so um it's so interesting to

see how um just all of asia really is just is on this turning point of like um you know they could be overtaking the the financial power of the us and you know most of the the gdp uh from the us and like the number one industry is the financial industry which has been built out of this archaic technology for the last decades and decades um so the tides

are turning quick and and web 3 is a huge part of that so very interesting and thank you for those insights bobby on vietnam vietnam and southeast asia i want to jump back to you know cardiac chain and the development on the protocol and the apps that are being built and you mentioned the decks which is super interesting you know there's been a lot of conversation

around uh centralized versus decentralized and and defy which you know in the news recently there's been some of the c5 providers have sort of gone under and and d5 still vulnerable to hacks as well um can you talk a little bit more about uh you know the the version three of the decks and also you know is there a growing defy and nft scene in cardiac chain

yeah so um so yeah the version three the dex is something that we're quite proud of we've been spending like a lot of work on it for the past couple months like um so uh one thing one thing that we've i've asked that that we're trying to focus on here is initially we want to really so you know if you think of uh let me figure out how to describe

this um you know our goal is our goal is mass adoption all right we want to onboard you know people down people into the crypto space as easy as possible um so what we wanted what we're seeing is we're running into a lot of developers entrepreneurs that want to get into the blockchain space but like i have no idea i don't know how to watch and talk and i'm not a

creative blockchain i don't have to do any of this stuff right so uh seeing these pain points we this is why we offered a variety of products to address all these issues starting with a blockchain you know how to do it you don't know how to deploy a blockchain but we have that for you and it's quite easy to do that okay so what about you know what about uh uh what about a token

sale well we have a decks too we can help you with that all right well how do we do that we have services to help you launch on the decks as well we have services to help you facilitate this token launch as well as to ensure that your token is traded and follows all the regulations and the proper regulations and etc right here so um i guess to answer your question in

terms of what's special our decks it's what's special about our decks is it kind of fits nicely into this like one-stop shop i guess ecosystem of everything you need to come into the crypto space right you have the decks i mean you have the cup so you have the blockchain you have the decks you have a wallet you have a metaverse right so if you have as a

developer your dap has additional expo has exposure and all these and all these assets here and of course finally our web three services here right which complement that as mentioned ama's a service hackathon you know as a service um other marketing services what three as well so yeah to kind of wrap up that point particularly um yeah i think the decks the stance about the decks is just

kind of sits nicely in this ecosystem of products here to help onboard you know the developers entrepreneurs whoever wants to you know raise a token sale or rather do a token raise or launch their deployed adapt in the southeast asian market which is where most of our users are from um so yeah sorry long-winded answer i need to work on those here and and maybe you could elaborate

more on uh cardiac chain's approach to defy and and seeing the landscape right now and and you know how some of these platforms weren't sustainable and and what's that approach for your protocol yeah so our approach to d5 well to be honest i don't think i think prior the prior version of the dex didn't have much much d fi on it uh to cyanide i think we had

other adapts that had that did that had some d5 products um you know traditional pools farm you know district opposed farms and staking but you know they didn't do as good as a job as we thought they could have so we decided to take that on ourselves through the decks here so i guess um like so i guess the answer could in our approach 35 well actually you know this is i

guess our first really checked based on d5 deep fried products here through our decks here um you know you you spoke to lou who was our cto i think some time ago who's like a freaking d5 master of people like this guy's like a really smart guy here so um having him lead the way for for the decks is really um you know i think something that uh you know is

going to give us an edge here um the second thing here i think you mentioned the nft i forgot to get into the point about the nft marketplaces yeah we have actually quite a few nft uh marketplaces here and i think one thing or one of which is called gumdroid let's go come join um this is the vietnamese entity marketplace but uh what they're trying to do is onboard

a lot of traditional businesses right they're trying to make it very easy for traditional businesses to sell energy assets on their marketplace here um so and i think as i'm talking a lot i think that's one thing that makes us that stands out a little bit is we like to we make it a point to try to work with a lot of traditional businesses and enterprises to try to bring them into

the web 3 space here so to answer but in terms of the nft and having a presence in you know i guess you know having an nft marketplace i guess you know we do have that and that is something that we are trying to develop here thank you for touching on that and i'd love to hear your insights and vision on more the long term as all of these products you know

it already takes a long time to build all this out um but hopefully you know the plan is for users to be using this years and years down the road um do you have a vision as the cmo on you know what cardio chain will look like as it continues to grow and obviously you need to keep up with um the the growth of like the blockchain ecosystem as a whole but um saying that you know five years

from now yeah you know what i really want to get in you know lexie carter chain where i'm really trying to push this to get involved is it always comes back to our mission here which is one three mass adoption right what can we do to one educate the community educate the public about the benefits of web3 and number two what can we do to bring people to

building web3 here right so the education uh uh the education aspect as in um trying to recruit students to educate students educate uh developers up to developers that want to come into web3 here um so that's really where i'm trying to you know push us as an organization and we we have a lot of great ties with school the local local community and particularly local schools uh here we

are looking to try to develop essentially you know i guess you could say like a blockchain education program you could say uh you could say so um obviously you know we hope that and we expect that our products will be here you know for the next five to ten years and people will be using them but what i really wanted to push this is really make an impact

here in vietnam and the southeast asian communities is hey let's let's you know let's start training web 3 let's get more of the developers out there let's get people building it what through so that we can try to continue to onboard more users into the crypto space here so i guess they kind of you know if i could wrap it up you know in one word education right i really want us to

educate the community i want us to i want to say yeah yeah yeah i said i guess before my progression stopped talking there like before i talked continue ranting but yeah i think education is a good word to summarize that you know in terms of what i see the future for cardio chain well said bobby and for users in the east and the west that want to learn

more about um just the ecosystem of cardiac chain and people that might want to get involved or just take a look at it and the communities what is the best way for them to learn more yeah well for sure telegram chat um that's where we release like all you know first all our news there so you can go on telegram just you know telegraph slash cardiac chain uh followed by

twitter slash cardiac chain and then my twitter account as well the the real beef fam so any of these sources here you know that's where we post all our news and updates so yeah great great thank you i will leave those links in the description box as well to make it easy for the viewers i appreciate your insights into southeast asia blockchain ecosystem and the cardiac chain

ecosystem all the best with your team and and let's follow up again in the near future awesome thank you ashton
