Spot exchange-traded funds tracking XRP and Solana both notched fresh milestones last week, with XRP ETFs closing at a record cumulative total and SOL funds logging their best single-day haul since launching nearly a year ago. The dual rally shows institutional demand broadening beyond bitcoin and ether into the next tier of altcoin-linked products.

XRP ETFs posted $75.89 million in net inflows for the week ended Friday (September 25), their best week in a month.
SOL ETFs took in $86.67 million on Friday alone, the largest single-day inflow since the funds launched nearly a year ago.
Bitwise leads both categories, holding $677 million in cumulative XRP fund inflows and $1.22 billion in SOL fund inflows.

$86.67M SOL ETF single-day inflow, a record since launch
$188.22M SOL ETF weekly inflows, second-best week ever after October’s $199.21M launch week

Spot ETFs tied to Ripple’s XRP token and Solana’s SOL pushed to new highs during the trading week that ran from Monday (September 21) through Friday (September 25), according to data reported by CryptoPotato. XRP funds added $75.89 million over the five sessions, while SOL products pulled in $188.22 million, the largest weekly total of 2026 for that asset class. The gains lifted cumulative inflows for both fund groups to record levels, at $1.79 billion for XRP and $1.61 billion for SOL.

$75.89M week lifts XRP ETF total past $1.79 billion

The week did not start with momentum. SoSoData showed zero reportable flows into XRP ETFs on Monday, following net outflows the prior Thursday and Friday that had cut the previous week’s total to just $9.56 million, less than half the roughly $19 million pace seen earlier in September.

Sentiment reversed on Tuesday. Investors added $20.02 million that day, followed by $18.04 million on Wednesday, $14.89 million on Thursday, and $22.65 million on Friday.

The five-day run pushed the weekly total to $75.89 million, the strongest performance in a month, and extended the funds’ streak of positive weekly flows to ten consecutive weeks. Bitwise’s XRP fund remains the category leader with $677 million in cumulative net inflows, ahead of Franklin Templeton’s XRPZ at $501 million and Canary Capital’s XRPC at $489.37 million.

$86.67M Friday inflow is largest ever for SOL ETFs

Solana funds outpaced their XRP counterparts throughout the week. Inflows opened at $26.10 million on Monday, rose to $28.87 million on Tuesday, eased to $13.77 million on Wednesday, then jumped to $32.81 million on Thursday before Friday’s surge of $86.67 million, the single-best daily inflow since the SOL ETFs launched roughly a year ago.

The $188.22 million weekly total marks a 2026 high for the category. It trails only the funds’ October launch week, when $199.21 million came in during the first days of trading.

Cumulative SOL ETF inflows now stand at $1.61 billion, a fresh all-time high. Bitwise again dominates the field with $1.22 billion in cumulative net inflows, well ahead of Fidelity’s FSOL at $231.35 million and Grayscale’s GSOL at $164.15 million.

Bitwise’s lead widens across both fund categories

Bitwise now controls the largest share of assets in both the XRP and SOL ETF markets, holding $677 million and $1.22 billion respectively against smaller totals from Franklin Templeton, Canary Capital, Fidelity and Grayscale. That concentration means the pace of future weekly flows will hinge heavily on whether Bitwise’s funds keep attracting the bulk of new allocator interest.

Neither CryptoPotato’s report nor the underlying SoSoValue data addressed why flows accelerated specifically on Thursday and Friday of the week in question, leaving the immediate catalyst for the late-week surge unaddressed in the reporting.

The BlockWest read. The gap between Bitwise’s totals and every other issuer’s suggests allocators are still treating these ETFs as a single-brand trade rather than shopping across fee structures or custody arrangements. If that concentration holds as SOL funds approach their one-year anniversary in October, smaller issuers like Fidelity and Grayscale will need a distinct pitch, not just a cheaper expense ratio, to pull meaningful share away.

SOL ETFs reach their first full year of trading in October, a milestone that will test whether Friday’s record $86.67 million day was a one-off or the start of a sustained shift in allocator demand, a question the current data does not yet answer.

Ripple (XRP) ETFs Record Eighth Straight Week of Growth as Warning Signs Return

XRP spot ETFs have attracted nearly $19 million in inflows over the past week while maintaining eight consecutive weeks of gains, but emerging warning signs suggest investor momentum may be waning. Friday’s zero reportable flows and midweek outflows mark the first cracks in what had been a largely uninterrupted institutional buying streak.

XRP spot ETFs posted inflows of nearly $19 million during the most recent week, though down notably from the previous week’s $110 million.
Cumulative net inflows across XRP spot ETFs have reached an all-time high of $1.68 billion since launch.
Friday saw zero reportable flows for the first time in roughly three weeks, reawakening concerns about the durability of demand.

Strong Institutional Adoption of XRP Spot ETFs

Spot exchange-traded funds tracking XRP have closed in positive territory for eight consecutive weeks, with the latest trading period bringing in nearly $19 million in net inflows. The cumulative performance has been robust, reaching $1.68 billion in all-time inflows since these products began trading. This level of institutional capital represents a significant milestone for the digital asset, reflecting growing acceptance among traditional investment vehicles.

The introduction of XRP spot ETFs follows a broader trend in the cryptocurrency industry toward regulatory-approved, institutional-grade investment products. Similar to Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs that launched in the United States in recent years, XRP’s ETF offerings provide institutional investors with a regulated means to gain exposure to the digital asset without directly managing private keys or engaging with cryptocurrency exchanges. This infrastructure development has been a key driver of mainstream adoption across the broader crypto ecosystem.

Friday’s Zero Flows Signal Potential Shift in Institutional Demand

Friday closed with zero reportable flows, marking the first no-flow day in approximately three weeks, according to data from SoSoValue.

The absence of meaningful capital movement on that day has rekindled questions about the underlying strength of demand for XRP’s spot ETF products. Earlier in August, the ETFs experienced seven no-flow days out of 11 trading days before conditions improved on August 19. This pattern suggests that investor enthusiasm may be episodic in nature, potentially tied to specific trading catalysts or price ranges rather than sustained fundamental adoption trends.

The week itself was uneven. Monday brought $5.64 million in inflows, while Tuesday saw stronger momentum with $14.38 million entering the funds. However, Wednesday reversed course, with $7.20 million withdrawn, ending a nearly month-long streak of positive days that had lasted since August 5. Thursday recovered with $6.14 million in inflows before Friday’s inactivity closed the period.

Deceleration Raises Questions About Sustainability

The trajectory shows clear signs of deceleration, with this week’s inflow total representing a sharp decline compared to late August’s $110 million haul. This 83 percent week-over-week decrease warrants scrutiny from analysts monitoring institutional adoption trends. Historically, cryptocurrency asset flows can be volatile, influenced by regulatory developments, market sentiment shifts, and competing investment opportunities across the digital asset space.

Deceleration in ETF inflows does not necessarily indicate weakening fundamental interest, as investors may be taking profits after weeks of consistent gains or awaiting new catalysts before deploying additional capital. Market cycles in cryptocurrency have often featured periods of rapid capital inflows followed by consolidation phases. However, the emergence of no-flow days and outflows suggests at least a temporary pause in the institutional buying enthusiasm that characterized late August.

XRP Price Lags Despite Record Institutional Capital

Despite the $110 million institutional inflow during the previous week, XRP itself failed to sustain upward momentum in line with that capital flow. The asset dipped below the critical $1.40 support level over the weekend and fell as low as $1.33 during the following week, highlighting a disconnect between ETF inflows and price performance.

By Friday, XRP had recovered to $1.45 before retreating to $1.41 as of reporting.

This mismatch between spot market inflows and price action suggests that the relationship between capital flows and valuations operates differently in cryptocurrency markets than in traditional equities. Whale transactions, derivative positioning, and social media sentiment can influence price action independently of spot ETF demand. Market dynamics in crypto remain influenced by trading activity across decentralized exchanges, futures markets, and over-the-counter desks in ways that can complicate the typical supply-and-demand relationships observed in traditional financial markets.

Some market analysts maintain a bullish thesis, with commentators including Ali Martinez and EGRAG CRYPTO projecting price targets as high as $60 during a potential bull cycle culmination, though near-term consolidation appears to characterize the current environment. These perspectives reflect longer-term confidence in XRP’s utility and adoption potential despite short-term volatility.

Investors should monitor whether next week returns to the consistent inflow patterns that defined most of August or whether the zero-flow days and outflows persist, potentially signaling a fundamental shift in institutional appetite for XRP exposure through regulated ETF vehicles.

Major Financial Institutions Resume Cryptocurrency Purchases Following Market Pullback

BlockWest News Team Crypto Equities, Equities & Markets, ETFs & Funds Bitcoin, Corporate Treasury, cryptocurrency ETF, Ethereum, institutional adoption

Corporate treasuries are deploying capital into Bitcoin and Ethereum at accelerating rates, driven by a surge in ETF inflows and rising coin prices that make equity issuance more attractive. The timing reveals how institutional crypto adoption now moves in lockstep with broader fund flows and macroeconomic conditions affecting asset allocation.

Strive purchased 1,800 BTC at $79,431 average, bringing holdings to 23,156 BTC worth $1.83 billion
BitMine completed its 65th consecutive week of Ethereum buys, holding 4.9% of total ether supply
US spot Bitcoin funds absorbed $3.3 billion in August after bleeding $4.5 billion in June

$3.3B US spot Bitcoin ETF inflows in August versus outflows in June
65 Consecutive weeks BitMine has purchased Ethereum since June 2025
25.7% Bitcoin price gain in August compared to June performance
$335M-$390M Annual staking yield BitMine projects from 5.07 million staked ETH

Three major corporate treasuries disclosed fresh crypto acquisitions on Monday, signaling renewed appetite for digital assets after a period of restraint. Strive, BitMine, and MicroStrategy each announced purchases totaling more than $500 million in a single week, capitalizing on the strongest monthly inflows into cryptocurrency funds since mid-2025. The timing aligns with a sharp reversal in fund flows that began in August, after two consecutive months of redemptions pressured prices lower.

Strive And MicroStrategy Resume Bitcoin Accumulation

Strive, led by chief executive Matt Cole, acquired 1,800 bitcoin at an average price of $79,431 per coin, expanding its treasury holdings to 23,156 BTC valued at approximately $1.83 billion. The company funded the purchase through the issuance of 3,579,147 new Class A shares while simultaneously growing its cash position by $11.6 million to $183.5 million, demonstrating how equity sales at higher prices create dry powder for additional acquisitions.

The strategy reflects a broader pattern among public company treasuries that have positioned themselves as crypto proxies for equity investors. By using appreciated stock as acquisition currency, corporate treasuries can maintain flexibility to sustain purchasing programs through multiple market cycles without depleting cash reserves needed for operations.

MicroStrategy, the longest-running corporate Bitcoin holder, ended a ten-week purchasing pause by acquiring 4,603 coins at an average cost of $79,412 per unit. The resumption of buying follows the same pattern as Strive, with rising asset prices making equity issuance more effective as a financing mechanism for further accumulation.

BitMine Pushes Ethereum Holdings Toward Five Percent Threshold

BitMine has now completed 65 consecutive weeks of Ethereum purchases, a buying streak that extends back to June 2025 without interruption. The company currently holds 53,501 ETH as part of a total position of approximately 4.9 percent of Ethereum’s total circulating supply, leaving it 133,888 tokens short of the 5 percent target that Chairman Tom Lee has publicly stated.

The accumulation strategy differs fundamentally from Bitcoin-focused treasuries because BitMine has staked 5,067,309 ETH, representing 86 percent of its holdings, through MAVAN, its American validator network. Lee projects the staking operation will generate between $335 million and $390 million in annual yield, transforming the treasury from a holder into an active participant in Ethereum’s consensus mechanism.

This approach captures network rewards that Bitcoin treasuries cannot access, as Bitcoin’s proof-of-work architecture does not support staking. The yield generation creates an additional financial rationale for Ethereum accumulation beyond potential price appreciation, analogous to how dividend-paying stocks attract long-term institutional investors.

Fund Inflows And Price Movements Trigger Corporate Buying

The corporate purchasing activity follows a sharp reversal in fund flows that began in August. US spot Bitcoin funds absorbed $3.3 billion during the month after experiencing $4.5 billion in outflows during June, while Ethereum funds added approximately $1.75 billion following two months of withdrawals. Bank of America reported that crypto funds drew $3.2 billion in inflows during the final week of August, marking the largest weekly intake since October 2025.

Bitcoin climbed 25.7 percent over August while Ethereum rose 33.3 percent, creating the conditions that make equity issuance attractive for treasuries seeking to convert shares into coins. The sequence operates as a compounding cycle: fund inflows lift coin prices, higher prices increase the value of treasury holdings, and selling appreciated equity generates capital for fresh purchases.

The pattern demonstrates how cryptocurrency markets remain sensitive to institutional fund flows despite the sector’s growth. When retail and institutional investors simultaneously increase allocations to crypto ETFs and managed funds, the resulting price momentum encourages corporate treasuries to accelerate acquisitions before valuations advance further.

The rotation into crypto occurred despite simultaneous strength in traditional equities, with the Nasdaq 100 rising 4.2 percent in August after semiconductor stocks fell 20.6 percent in July, suggesting the buying reflects genuine cryptocurrency demand rather than flight from a collapsing sector.

Political Developments And Bond Policy Shift Support Market Sentiment

Market conditions improved further after President Donald Trump pressed Congress on August 19 to pass the CLARITY Act, with a Senate vote scheduled for September 15. The legislation would establish a clearer regulatory framework for digital assets, reducing uncertainty that has historically constrained corporate treasury commitments to crypto holdings. Such regulatory clarity appeals to public company boards evaluating whether crypto allocations represent prudent capital deployment.

On the same day, the Treasury widened long-dated bond buyback operations from $2 billion to at least $4 billion per operation, though the relief proved limited with the 30-year yield dipping to 5.19 percent before settling back at 5.25 percent. The bond market dynamics created an environment where alternative assets like cryptocurrency became relatively more attractive to investors seeking yield.

Foreign investors also contributed to market momentum by pulling 10.17 trillion won from Korean equities in August, with volumes on Upbit, the country’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, jumping approximately eightfold. The capital flows suggest international repositioning toward digital assets alongside domestic US policy shifts favoring the sector.

These geopolitical and monetary developments indicate that corporate crypto adoption now exists within a broader ecosystem of policy signals and cross-border capital flows. Treasuries monitor not only coin prices and fund flows but also regulatory developments and macroeconomic conditions that shape whether equity markets will sustain valuations necessary to finance ongoing accumulation.

The constraint on corporate treasury buying remains not a falling coin price but rather a closed financing window, meaning the current accumulation cycle will persist only as long as equity markets allow treasuries to issue shares at valuations that support ongoing purchases. The September 15 Senate vote on the CLARITY Act and BitMine’s progress toward its 5 percent Ethereum supply target represent the near-term inflection points to monitor.
